About us
Coffee is art. We roast on a San Franciscan drum roaster (SF 25) that utilizes both conduction and convective heat to achieve a more complex flavor profile than air roasters. This roaster has soul; it marries old world durability and style with hands on innovative control to allow a handcraft proficiency to each of our roast. We choose high quality green coffee and are constantly cupping (and drinking!) our roasts to help ensure their excellency.
Hand-craft roasting is counterpoint. It listens to the voice of the coffee’s unique origin, process and the farmers who cultivate it, as well as the expressions of the roaster. We work directly with importers who are connected with and support what is best for the long term development and sustainability of their coffee regions and farmers.
North Soul Coffee Roasters was born out of our delight in great coffee and the desire to have a family business that reflected our values of integrity and togetherness. Our work and travel schedules have left us needing the routines of home and connection. We have learned that some of our everyday routines shape and make us who we are, and ready us to be most ourselves.
